Beetroot Halwa

Ingredients:
- 2 c. grated beetroot
- 2 c. mawa (milk powder)
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter (1/2 stick)
- 3/4 – 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 tsp. cardamom powder
- pinch of salt
Method:
- Melt butter in bottom of a pan and saute grated beetroot over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Fold mawa into pan until fully incorporated. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Fold in sugar, cardamom, and salt and mix until fully melted.
- Remove from heat and let sit.
Serve warm and garnish with slivered almonds.
