Date Nut Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkt Seedless dates
  • 100 gms Walnuts / cashew nuts
  • 5 oz Butter
  • 2 oz [¼ c] Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ lb [1 c] All purpose flour

Method:

  1. Knead butter till fluffy. Add sugar. When it melts, add 1 beaten egg.
  2. Mix in the flour lightly till it forms a ball.
  3. Roll it out ¼ “ thick (little thicker than chappatis).
  4. Cut into strips and roll each date (stuffed with a nut) in each strip and brush with beaten egg.
  5. Bake in hot 350 F oven for 20 mins.

Serve cool.
Makes about 40 rolls.
